Connect TikTok
You connect TikTok to Voxpanda from the brand’s Channels card, but until TikTok finishes its audit of Voxpanda’s app, every post goes out as private. This is a TikTok rule for all apps that use its Content Posting API. The AI social media manager follows it and shows the status next to the channel.
Steps
- Open Brands and select your brand.
- In Channels, under Connect an account, select TikTok.
- Sign in on TikTok and approve the permissions: basic account info and video publishing.
- You return to the brand page with the message TikTok connected.
Only workspace owners and admins can connect a channel. If you have no brand yet, follow getting started with Voxpanda first.
Why posts are private before the audit
TikTok reviews every app before it may publish public posts. Before the audit, TikTok allows only private posts (visible to the account owner) and only 5 users per 24 hours for the app. While Voxpanda waits, your channel shows TikTok: waiting for app audit, posts will be private. The note disappears when TikTok approves the app.
Privacy and consent on each post
TikTok’s Content Sharing Guidelines require a choice on every post. In the post editor, the TikTok channel has:
- Choose who can see it: Everyone, Friends, Followers or Only me. There is no default.
- I agree to TikTok’s Music Usage Confirmation: tick it before scheduling.
Voxpanda refuses to schedule a TikTok post without both. For this reason TikTok never runs on full autopilot, as described in the scheduling approval rules overview.
Limits to know
- About 15 posts per creator per day, shared by every app the creator uses (checked 13 October 2026).
- Captions up to 2,200 characters.
- Every TikTok post needs a photo or a video. Use an image from Studio, or upload a video of up to 500 MB in the post editor.
- No comments on other creators’ videos. TikTok has no endpoint for it.

Fix a broken connection
When a TikTok token cannot be renewed, the channel shows reconnect needed and scheduled TikTok posts are on hold. Select Reconnect and approve the permissions again.

Why are my TikTok posts private?
Because TikTok's app audit for Voxpanda is not finished yet. Until TikTok approves the app, every post published through it is visible only to you.
Can TikTok run on full autopilot?
No. TikTok requires you to choose who can see each post and to confirm it, so TikTok posts always wait for your choice.
