Can I connect several Facebook Pages to one brand?

Yes. When your Facebook account manages more than one Page, Voxpanda lists them and you tick the Pages to connect.

Does Voxpanda need my Instagram or Facebook password?

No. You sign in on Instagram's or Facebook's own page and approve the permissions. Voxpanda receives an access token, encrypted before it is stored.

Can Voxpanda reply to Instagram DMs automatically?

Yes, within 24 hours of the customer's last message. Instagram does not allow an app to start a DM conversation.

Why is the Instagram or Facebook button greyed out?

The platform is shown as available after platform app review. The button appears once Meta has approved Voxpanda's app.

Connect Instagram and Facebook Pages to Voxpanda

You connect Instagram and Facebook Pages to Voxpanda from the brand’s Channels card, by signing in on Instagram’s or Facebook’s own page and approving the permissions. Voxpanda uses only Meta’s official APIs, so the AI social media manager never needs your password. Tokens are encrypted, as described on the Security page. Only workspace owners and admins can connect a channel.

Connect Instagram

Open Brands and select your brand.
In Channels, under Connect an account, select Instagram.
Sign in to Instagram and approve the requested permissions: basic profile, content publishing, comments and messages.
You return to the brand page with the message Instagram connected.

Connect a Facebook Page

In Channels, under Connect an account, select Facebook Page.
Sign in to Facebook and approve access to your Pages.
If you manage more than one Page, Voxpanda shows Pick the Facebook Page accounts to connect. Tick the Pages and select Connect selected.

The account picker stays valid for 15 minutes. After that you see That connection link expired. Connect again. If the account manages no Page, the connection stops with “no Facebook Page found on this account”.

What Voxpanda can do on each

Instagram: publish images, video and carousels, reply to comments, and reply to DMs within 24 hours of the customer’s message. Hard questions go to your WhatsApp. The automatic comment and DM replies page explains how replies are chosen.
Facebook Page: publish and schedule posts, reply to comments, and reply to Page messages within 24 hours.

Voxpanda comments on other Instagram accounts only on posts that mention your brand. Facebook offers no practical way to comment outside your Page.

Limits to know

Instagram documents 100 API-published posts per 24 hours, but the carousel section of the same page states 50, so Voxpanda plans for 50. Private replies are limited to 750 per hour (checked 13 October 2026). The Instagram and Facebook API limits article has the full table.

Fix a broken connection

Instagram tokens are renewed automatically before they expire. When a renewal fails, the channel shows reconnect needed with the note The connection expired. Reconnect to keep posting. Scheduled posts on that channel are on hold, and you get a reconnect link by email or WhatsApp.

Open the brand page.
Select Reconnect next to the channel.
Approve the permissions again.

To remove a channel, select Disconnect.
