Connect X

You connect X to Voxpanda by signing in on X and approving Voxpanda’s app, with no X developer account of your own. Voxpanda uses one X app and pays X per action. The AI social media manager charges these costs to your workspace as Voxpanda Credits. Only workspace owners and admins can connect a channel.

Steps

1. Open Brands and select your brand.
2. In Channels, under Connect an account, select X.
3. Sign in on X and approve the permissions: read and write posts, read your profile, upload media, and stay connected.
4. You return to the brand page with the message X connected.

Credits per X post

X charges every app per post, so each X post uses Voxpanda Credits from your balance.

The caption counter on an X post shows link: 35 credits when the caption contains a link. Monthly bonus credits are used before purchased credits. The billing and credits guide explains both.

When the balance is too low

1. When you schedule. Voxpanda adds up the credits for all X posts in the schedule. If the balance is lower, scheduling stops with Not enough Voxpanda Credits.
2. When the post goes out. Credits are taken at publish time. If the balance is too low by then, the X post fails with “Not enough credits” and shows under Needs attention.

Buy credits in Billing under Buy credits, then select Retry on the failed post. Pack prices are listed under Voxpanda Credits packs.

Limits to know

• 280 characters per post for accounts without X Premium. The post editor counts X captions with X’s weighted count. You can also check a draft in the free character counter.
• Replies only to accounts that mention or quote your brand. AI replies on X stay off until X gives written approval.

Fix a broken connection

X tokens are renewed automatically. When a renewal fails, the channel shows reconnect needed and scheduled X posts are on hold. Select Reconnect next to the channel.
